How a SnappedCulture booking works, start to finish

One form, one question, and everything in writing before the shoot. The six steps between telling us what you need and opening your download link.

Every SnappedCulture job, from a single headshot to a wedding, runs through the same booking. There is one form on this site, and it asks one question first. After that, nothing about the job is left to assumption: what you’ll receive, when, and for how much are in writing before anyone picks up a camera. Here is the whole path, step by step.

1. You tell us what you need photographed

The form starts with “What do you need photographed?” Answer it in your own words. “Headshots for a team page,” “Listing photos for a three-bedroom in Mesa,” and “Our Saturday wedding at a venue in Scottsdale” are all good answers. You don’t need to know our service names, choose a package, or decide who should shoot it.

The form also asks how you first heard about us. It takes two seconds and tells us which of our channels is doing its job.

If you’ve been looking around the site, you may have snapped a few frames onto your roll along the way. The form offers the frames you circled as references, so you can show us the kind of photograph you mean instead of describing it.

2. We confirm what’s included, in writing

Before the shoot, we send a written confirmation that states:

  • What you’ll receive: the number of edited images or the coverage, and the format.
  • When you’ll receive it: a delivery date.
  • What it costs: the price for the job as described.
  • When and where: the date, the time, and the location of the shoot.

Some of these are standard terms. A listing shoot is up to 25 edited images, delivered within 48 hours, via download link, for $150. A portrait or headshot booking is a 1-hour session and 10 edited images, delivered within 72 hours, quoted to the job. Weddings and events are quoted per job, with the coverage and deliverables set in the quote. Everything else is quoted per job too, with the deliverables and a delivery date in writing before the shoot.

If something you need isn’t in the confirmation, say so before the shoot and it goes in writing as well. Retouching beyond the standard terms, for example, is agreed up front and never applied by default.

3. We assign the photographer

You book SnappedCulture, not an individual. We assign a local photographer to the job and hold that photographer to the same written standard as every other shoot. Once the booking is confirmed, the booking email can include the assigned photographer’s first name, so you know who to look for when they arrive.

4. The shoot

The photographer arrives on location at the confirmed time and photographs what the confirmation lists. Every photograph we deliver is made on location by the photographer assigned to your job. We never deliver stock or generated images as your photographs.

5. We check the work before you see it

Every set is checked against the written standard before it is delivered: exposure and white balance, the image count, the labeling, the delivery deadline, and the right editing standard, applied the right way. Listing work follows the documentary standard; portraits, headshots, weddings, and commercial work follow the creative standard, as agreed with you. A set that misses the standard is re-edited or re-shot before you receive it.

Nothing about the job is left to assumption: what you’ll receive, when, and for how much are in writing before anyone picks up a camera.

6. Delivery

You receive a download link by the date in your confirmation. Photographs are delivered by link, never as email attachments, so they arrive at full quality and nothing gets lost in a mail filter.

If something falls short

Every job is held to the same written standard, whoever is behind the camera. If a job falls short of it, we re-shoot at no cost or refund the shoot fee, your choice, within 7 days of delivery. You deal with SnappedCulture the whole way through; we never send you to the photographer to sort it out.

Where to start

Start with the question below. Tell us what you need photographed, roughly when, and where, and we’ll reply with the written confirmation.
