AboutSnappedCulture

SnappedCulture is a photography company in Tempe, Arizona. We take the booking, assign a local photographer to the job, and stand behind the photographs we deliver. We work in Tempe, Scottsdale, Chandler, Mesa, and Phoenix, and you can follow the work on Instagram at @snappedculture.

We photograph headshots, portraits, engagements, weddings and events, sports, pets, nature, commercial and promotional work, and real estate and architecture.

Shutter speed

We freeze the moment. At one second, a sparkler is a ribbon of light. At 1/250 of a second, it is a point you can count the sparks around. Pick a shutter speed, then press the shutter.

02 The name

A snap lasts 1/250 of a second. A culture is everything in front of it.

The name is the job description. We photograph people's cultures, their stories, and moments in time, and we hold each one still long enough to keep.

  1. 01

    Cultures

How a family lines up for the formal portrait. Who gives the toast. The colors in the stands at the club game. Culture is what a group does when it is together, and it shows in details someone has to be there to notice.

  2. 01A

    Stories

A day has an order: getting ready, the ceremony, the toasts. So does a listing: curb, entry, kitchen, living areas, every bedroom and bath. We shoot in that order, so the set reads start to finish.

  3. 02

    Moments in time

A frame keeps a date, a place, and the light at that hour. At 1/250 of a second, a raised glass stays raised. That is the part we deliver: the moment, held still.

03 How a job works

How a job works.

You tell us what you need photographed. We confirm in writing what you'll receive and when, assign a photographer, and deliver the finished photographs.

Run it with

Every job is held to the same written standard, whoever is behind the camera. If a job falls short of it, we re-shoot at no cost or refund the shoot fee, your choice, within 7 days of delivery.

04 Core values

Six values, each one a rule.

Each value comes with what it means on a job, so it settles real decisions instead of decorating a wall.

  1. 01

    One standard, every shooter.

SnappedCulture, not the individual photographer, answers to you. Every job meets the same written terms and editing standards, whoever is assigned, and work that falls short of them is not delivered under the name.

  2. 02

    Show up in person.

The photographs we sell are taken on location by the photographer assigned to your job. Stock or generated images are never delivered or shown as our photographs, and an extra edit such as virtual staging is disclosed in writing.

  3. 03

    Say what’s included.

Before the shoot, you have it in writing: the deliverables, the format, the delivery date, and the price.

  4. 04

    Keep records honest.

Documentary work, such as listing photography, follows the documentary standard for every shooter: no edit changes what the photograph shows.

  5. 05

    Retouch by agreement.

Retouching beyond what the standard terms include is agreed with you up front, in a style and to an extent you choose, and never applied by default.

  6. 06

Claim only what can be shown.

Ratings, years, and names appear only with their source and a date where the number changes. A record is never credited to anyone who did not produce it.

06 Where we work
